Meet Suzie, the dress that's also a Blazer

Style by Kezy Suzie dress worn as a blazer, designed for petite women 5'2" and under

I've spent most of my adult life doing the same thing every woman under 5'2" knows way too well. Hemming things. Adjusting things. Just making do. A dress that was almost right. A blazer that fit everywhere except the shoulders. Trousers I'd have to pay someone else to fix, every single time, because a sewing machine and I have never once been friends.

When I started Style by Kezy, I never wanted to just make "petite" clothes the way most brands do, taking a normal size and shortening it. I wanted to design from the ground up for a body like mine. Shoulder, waist, rise, sleeve length, all built for 5'2" and under from the very first pattern, not adjusted after the fact.

Suzie is the newest one to come out of that thinking.

Here's where she started. A day that runs from a 9am meeting straight into a 7pm dinner, no time in between to go home and change. My own days look a bit different these days, but I remember exactly what that stretch felt like, and I know so many of you are still living it. I wanted one piece that could do both. Not a compromise, not "it'll do," but something that actually works as proper workwear and as an evening piece, without either half feeling like an afterthought.

So she transforms. One piece, worn one way for the day and reworked for the evening, dress to blazer in a single move. And because she's designed at 5'2" and under from the start, she sits right the first time. No alterations. No "close enough."

This one took me longer to get right than most, which is part of why things have been a bit quiet here lately. But she's exactly the kind of piece I set out to make when I started this whole thing, something you put on and you're done. No adjusting, no apologising for your body, just walking into the room exactly as you are.

Suzie's live now. I really hope she does for you what I built her to do.

With love
Jenny 🖤
